Honey Type

All our honey is taken from the hives straight to the Jar, that is our quality guarantee. That also means that the honey will taste differently with every batch of honey produced. You can find the batch number of the honey on the label.

The reason for the difference in taste, colour and consistency of honey lays in the type of nectar the bees collect. This varies from site to site and from season to season. Even in a single site the honey can taste differently from hive to hive as colonies collect from different trees and flowers.

If you like the taste of a particular batch the only way to get the same taste is to order more of the same batch. Once the honey batch is sold out, your best chance to get a similar tasting honey is to order batches from same sites and time of year. Or you follow our taste classification system.

With the taste classification system we try to give a guide how the honey tastes. This is a bit of a double edged sword as taste is very subjective matter, but we hope it helps you to get the honey that you like most.
